Darbufelone was discovered as a dual inhibitor of cellular prostaglandin and leukotriene production. Darbufleone potently inhibits PGHS-2 with IC50 of 0.19 μM but is much less potent with PGHS-1 with IC50 of 20μM. Duloxetine (SNK-860) is an aldose reductase inhibitor. Long-term treatment with SNK-860 has a beneficial preventive effect on the development of experimental diabetic neuropathy. [1][2]
