AT-7519 is a novel small molecule. It is a multi-cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor with IC50 values of 210 nM, 47 nM, 360 nM, 100 nM, 13 nM and 170 nM for CDK1/cyclin B, CDK2/Cyclin A, CDK3/Cyclin E, CDk4/Cyclin D1, CDk5/p35 and CDK6/Cyclin D3, respectively. AT7519 selectively binds to and inhibits cyclin dependent kinases (CDKs), which may result in cell cycle arrest, induction of apoptosis, and inhibition of tumor cell proliferation. CDKs are serine/theronine kinases involved in regulation of the cell cycle and may be overexpressed in some types of cancer cells. [1][2]
