SC-26196 is a selective Δ6 desaturase inhibitor (IC50 = 0.2 μM in vitro). SC26196 displays selectivity over Δ5 and Δ9 desaturases (IC50 values are >200 μM in vitro). SC 26196 exhibits anti-inflammatory properties in a mouse edema model. [1][2]
