(+) Etomoxir sodium salt is an inhibitor of carnitine palmitoyltransferase I (CPT1). (+) Etomoxir sodium salt inhibits β-oxidation in mitochondria. It is shown to inhibit cardiolipin biosynthesis from exogenous fatty acid in H9c2 cells. ^[1][2]
