Rivastigmine tartrate (Exelon) is a dual cholinesterase inhibitor (ChEI). It inhibits both butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE). It is an agent for the treatment of mild to moderate dementia of the Alzheimer’s type and Parkinson's disease. [1][2]
